Abenaqui Video Review Here
Abenaqui is a private country club in the swanky New Hampshire town of Rye. Somewhat near the water with no real water views, this is a fun and scorable track that can get you in trouble if you aren't ripping it to the right places (especially on the closing holes). A killer logo, old school vibe, and likable course make it a great spot.
Atmosphere (8.0)
Playing with my Dad and his buds, the course does give a very old school country club vibe that invites you to stick around for a few pops with the fellahs. The clubhouse surrounds the clubhouse and the first tee which make it a great environment when you're waiting to tee off or after a finish.
The clubhouse is set to find some renovations, but certainly has a very old fashioned look with the bar right near the putting green, essentially a walk up barn for a locker room, and the shop and all painted in a pastel yellow.
Condition (9.9)
Mint. The course is kept in great shape. That's all you need here. Short holes that are scorable, and a place that is well manicured.
The front 9 has some repetitive features to it, and the back 9 is clearly more challenging with shots over long stretches of hazards and tighter greens.
