Just south of the city? Golf Lounge 18 just opened up a location in Braintree, Massachusetts in South Shore Plaza. The latest addition to the 12+ locations across New England, we went to see what the hype is all about. Here's what they have to offer:

 

  • State-of-the-Art Golf Simulators: Golf Lounge 18 features Trackman golf simulators that allow you to play a round on some of the most famous courses in the world, like Pebble Beach or Augusta National. We slapped it around Saint Andrews and broke 80 - not a big deal. The system is super easy to use and has additional games/practice set ups.

 

  • Atmosphere/Condition: They have 2 full bars, one on each level serving up mixed drinks, draft beer and a variety of food options from wings, apps, and sandwiches. Even though you can be staring at a screen of the beautiful 7th hole at Pebble, you still turn around to the storefront of a Gamestop aka you’re in the South Shore mall… fantastic for convenience but a bit awkward to visual pleasure. The GL 18 facility itself is undoubtedly pristine though, just opening in February 2024. We haven’t seen any simulators with 13 top notch bays accompanied by 2 bars and countless TV’s. If you’re looking to drink some beers with some buddies or host a casual business event, look no further. If you’re looking to plug in the airpods and dial in your spin rate and ball speed, this atmosphere might be overkill for you.

 

  • Value: Bay rentals will run you $55-70 per hour which is on the steeper side but expected for a brand new facility. You definitely get your moneys worth if you are looking for a clean entertainment space. Don’t sleep on the membership options that are attractive based to other simulators in the area. For the Elite membership, it will run you $1500 for 3 months and comes with unlimited play and unlimited guests. If you want to stay loose throughout the winter, this is a great way to gather some buddies and make your own league to get out of the house. Like we mentioned earlier, the location is super convenient if you’re in Boston or south of the city. For a corporate but clean feel in the middle of the mall, it weirdly works.
